Jesse Reynolds is a Canadian actor, broadcaster, emcee, and award-winning comedian whose work spans television, radio, live performance, and most recently, literature and music. Known for his sharp comedic timing and charismatic on-air presence, Jesse has built a multifaceted career rooted in entertainment, storytelling, and public-facing media.
Beginning in Ottawa, Jesse first gained recognition for his bold comedic voice and live performances, earning him the affectionate moniker “Ottawa’s Acid Tongue.” His irreverent style, coupled with candid storytelling, led to a loyal audience across multiple platforms, including his podcast Obsessed to Death and three appearances on the Faces Magazine podcast. His local presence expanded through radio, stage work, and emcee roles that showcased his ability to command a room in both casual and corporate settings.
After years in comedy and radio, Jesse transitioned into broadcast journalism and currently reports for Global News, where his coverage reaches audiences across Eastern Ontario. The move into television introduced him to a broader demographic and demonstrated a new dimension of his career: the capacity to balance seriousness with approachability and clarity on camera.
In 2025, Jesse released his debut memoir, Forbidden Fruit & Camo Boots, a queer love story that blends comedy, heartbreak, and polyamorous chaos into a contemporary narrative with humour and bite. The memoir generated early buzz, appearing in Indigo’s “New & Trending” category and drawing pre-orders across Canada and the United States. Expanding the project beyond the page, Jesse also released the companion pop single Sinner & a Soldier, available on all major streaming platforms.
Across his career, Jesse has performed at festivals, hosted fundraisers, and was featured at Ottawa’s groundbreaking Queer Sphere Expo — the city’s first LGBTQ+ community and business showcase designed to strengthen visibility and connection within the 2SLGBTQ+ community. His track record reflects not only range but resilience — consistently pursuing and completing creative projects across different formats while maintaining both audience engagement and professional credibility.
Born in Ottawa and now based in Kingston, Jesse lives with his chihuahua Reggie, who remains unimpressed despite the mounting evidence that his owner is, in fact, making it work.
