Eastern Ontario TV personality, comedian, and memoirist Jesse Reynolds officially steps into his popstar era with the release of his debut single “Sinner and a Soldier.” Bright, happy, and unapologetically catchy, the bubblegum-pop anthem blends Britney-era pop, boyband nostalgia, and cult-classic queer energy into an unreasonably replayable earworm.
Inspired by the real-life love triangle at the heart of Reynolds’ upcoming memoir Forbidden Fruit & Camo Boots, the song captures the emotional tug-of-war between the sinner and the soldier — with lasers, hooks, and a knowing smirk.
“I wrote a memoir about falling for a sinner and a soldier — of course there’s a pop song, If my midlife crisis sounds this catchy, I’m honestly fine with it.”

Composed by Ken MacNeill and produced by MacNeill and Denis Lorrain, Sinner and a Soldier was recorded at Dragonfly Studios in Glenburnie, Ontario, delivering polished, radio-ready pop while fully embracing the joyfully absurd.
The first musical release from the expanding Forbidden Fruit universe, the single is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and all major streaming platforms. A lyric video and/or music video is currently in development.
